Covalent character in ionic compounds | Fajan’s rule

None of the heteroatomic compounds is completely covalent or completely ionic in nature. In fact, ionic compounds acquire covalent characters and vice versa. Fajan’s rule decides the covalent character in ionic compounds. If there is more polarization of anion by cation, then the compound has a more covalent character.
